Team Finland in United Arab Emirates

The Team Finland network promotes Finland and its interests abroad: the internationalisation of Finnish enterprises, investments in Finland, and the country brand. The Team Finland operating model brings together the key actors and services in these fields. The core of the network consists of the publicly funded organisations operating in these fields, such as the ministries, Finland’s network of diplomatic missions, Finpro, Tekes, national culture and science institutes, Finnvera, Finnfund, and the regional internationalisation services, built upon the ELY Centres.

The Team Finland network will help your enterprise become more international, grow, and succeed in the global market. For more information on services to companies seeking internationalisation, see: http://team.finland.fi/en/services

The Team Finland network's objectives in United Arab Emirates

United Arab Emirates offers the Finnish corporate life significant business opportunities. The growth and the development plans of the country have a bright future. In addition to big infrastructure projects, the UAE is looking for the newest technology and know-how. Usually the country is looking for the best and the most expensive options. Investing in high technology, such as in renewable energy, is a central element for Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.The demand for high technology also covers the narrow field of high tech know-how, which means business opportunities for even small and medium sized enterprises.

The Finnish know-how and expertise, as well as the presence of Finnish enterprises in the UAE, are factors offering good conditions to map out the potential sectors for Finnish enterprises, as well as signaling market trends to Finland.

The aim is also to promote the actions of companies already operating in the UAE, and companies planning on entering the market in the UAE. The marketing is eased by the positive, although distant image of Finland in the UAE. Finland is regarded as a top country in high technology and know-how, as well as a loyal partner. The aim is to deepen this image.

Some potential sectors for Finnish enterprises:

  • Healthcare: diseases of affluence are causing a strong rising need in healthcare.
  • Education: Finland has a strong position in this sector, implying on good opportunities also in the future.
  • Renewable energy: the importance of the awareness of environmental issues is growing in the country.
  • Defense industries: potential market share even in the future. The UAE and the Gulf area is an important area for this industry.
  • Construction industry and information technology: due to development plans and the fast modernization of the society, these sectors will grow in the future.

Team Finland in United Arab Emirates also strives to enhance investments in Finland.

Team Finland's main message is: Finland's high-level and versatile know-how can further help the growth and development plans of the society in the UAE. Finland is a loyal partner.
